Emma Turner

Emma went home on August 17th, 2004 after suffering a lengthy illness. Many family members and friends waiting for her arrival include her father Roy Evans, her mother Dorothy Robbins Evans, her brother Bobby Evans and his wife Effie and many others standing to meet her at heavenÃ¢Â?Â?s gate. Emma is survived by her husband Buel L. Turner Jr. of the home, her daughter Donna Turner Judd and husband Randy, daughter Diane McClenny, and only son Jim Turner and wife Erin all of Sapulpa. Emma also has one sister Norma Chatham and husband Phillip of Springdale, Arkansas. Emma loves and will be missed by her grandchildren Chris, Hunter and India Judd, Grant Turner and Levi and Connor McClenny and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and Aunts and Uncles to numerous to count. Emma was born on December 10, 1939 in Berryville, Arkansas. She attended high school in Berryville and held many dear memories of her classmates and the farm she grew up on where her family raised cattle. She married Buel on Febuary 10, 1959 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Emma and Buel raised their children in Cushing, Oklahoma where Emma was employed by the Cushing Hospital and later moved to Sapulpa in 1985 where she lived until her homecoming. Emma along with Buel and daughter Donna owned and operated TurnerÃ¢Â?Â?s Monuments and Bronze Memorials in Sapulpa from 1994 until 2003. Emma aided many families with the loss of their loved ones and lived life in a caring and beautiful spiritual way that can never be forgotten. She was always there to listen, to help others and loved to cook for family and friends on holidays. She loved going to casinos in her spare time and could always be found with her best friend and husband Buel no matter what she did in life he was there beside herÃ¢Â?Â¦ he was her buddy. EmmaÃ¢Â?Â?s family will headquarter at the home of daughter Diane McClenny located at 206 South Walnut in Sapulpa. Visitation will be held Saturday and Sunday from 1:00-4:00 p.m. A final viewing will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30a.m. on Monday August 23, 2004 at the First Presbyterian Church. Funeral Services have been set for 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 23, 2004 at the First Presbyterian Church in Sapulpa with Reverend John Nelson officiating. Reverend John Nelson visited her countless times during her illness and EmmaÃ¢Â?Â?s family holds him forever in a special place in their hearts. Burial will be at South Heights Cemetery in Sapulpa.
